Fish Book Available!
Bert Myers, A local retired physician and photographer, has put together a 100 page hardbound book with images of the Festival of fins fish. The photographs include a few found on this site, as well as photographs of some fish never on public display.

They're Baaaaaack!
As a follow-up to last years incredibly
successful Festival of Fins, 35 participating artists have
painted/decorated/constructed a smaller 24" tabletop version of the
fish.
The fish will be on display for the
public's enjoyment Wednesday, August 8th, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in
the lobby of the Bank One Building located at 201 St. Charles
Avenue.
As with the fish on display last year,
artists have let their imaginations run wild with themes running the gamut from
a fish that looks like Louis Armstrong to one that looks like your mother's
"tomato pin cushion."
The fish will be auctioned at the Young
Leadership Council's annual Role Model Awards Gala Saturday evening, August 25th
at the Fairmont Hotel. Forms will be available on Wednesday for
individuals wanting to place absentee bids.
